BROADCHURCH is coming August 7 to BBC America

“The drama of the year” - Mirror

“Britain’s biggest new drama since Downton Abbey” - The Guardian
“Full of bravura acting… Impeccable” - London Metro

BBC America’s BROADCHURCH, which earned critical acclaim and broke records on Twitter in the UK, centers on the investigation into the murder of a young boy in a British seaside town.

Leading the investigation are two detectives — the strong yet compassionate local Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller (OLIVIA COLMAN, Twenty Twelve, The Iron Lady), and the by-the-book Detective Inspector Alec Hardy (DAVID TENNANT, Doctor Who, Spies of Warsaw), Ellie’s newly appointed boss.

By circumstance they are partnered to solve the murder, keeping the newspapers from derailing the investigation and trying to prevent the crime from impacting tourism at the beach where the boy was murdered.

Don’t miss Doctor Who’s DAVID TENNANT & ARTHUR DARVILL in critically-acclaimed new drama BROADCHURCH Premiering Wednesday Aug 7 at 10pm/9c on BBC America.

Sonnet 18

I love the look on Martha’s face.

Because I bet she read that Sonnet when she was in school.

And the realization that that fucking sonnet is going to be about HER RADIANT BLACK BEAUTY!!!

Martha Fucking Jones gets POETRY written for her that lasts through the ages.

YAAASSSS

The Doctor’s faces are killing me!

I actually find this really great because NOBODY KNOWS who “the dark lady” is.  There are various sonnets composed for/about her, but nobody knows her identity.

We do.

I wonder if Martha ever reads that particular sonnet or hears someone reading it in a movie or on telly and just kind of smirks to herself because she knows it was written about her

“Marry your best friend. I do not say that lightly. Really, truly find the strongest, happiest friendship in the person you fall in love with. Someone who speaks highly of you. Someone you can laugh with. The kind of laughs that make your belly ache, and your nose snort. The embarrassing, earnest, healing kind of laughs. Wit is important. Life is too short not to love someone who lets you be a fool with them. Make sure they are somebody who lets you cry, too. Despair will come. Find someone that you want to be there with you through those times. Most importantly, marry the one that makes passion, love, and madness combine and course through you. A love that will never dilute - even when the waters get deep, and dark.”  - N’tima

How I want the Doctor's name to be revealed

  • The Doctor: "My name is-"
  • *train passes*
  • Clara: "What?"
  • The Doctor: "MY NAME IS -"
  • *Bus passes and Ten and Nine step out*
  • Clara: "WHAT?"
  • The Doctor: "My name is-"
  • *Ten and Nine hit him on the head with a frying pan and yell "NO" as they drag his body away*
